Social Innovation Japan (SIJ) held the 2nd Social Entrepreneur Gathering (SEG) from 2nd to 3rd of September, 2006 at Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Japan. The SEG was firstly conducted by SIJ in October in 2005. SEG 2005 was the first social entrepreneur gathering in Japan. Social entrepreneurs, business person, government people, students and academics attended. The number of people was 200. The theme of SEG 2005 was about social entrepreneur, social business (SB), CSR, etc. through talk session, case studies, and 2025 vision workshop. Social entrepreneurs are emerging globally, but Japanese social entrepreneurs had almost no opportunity to gather and foster cutting edge knowledge of Japanese social entrepreneurship until SEG 2005. Since social innovation cannot be introduced by a single talented person even with his/her great leadership, the participation of people is essential to develop, cultivate and support those entrepreneurs. SIJ provides diverse players in government, business and non-profit sectors with SIJ’s open platform. 【Overview of SEG 2006】 ■Date 2nd Sep, Sat, 10:10-19:00 (Party (“Yajuku”): 19:30-21:00) 3rd Sep, Sun, 10:00-16:00
