Social Business Award 2006 supported by Microsoft
Social Business Award is given to excellent social businesses to honor their good achievements, which is the very first award in Japan. The Social Business Award promotes further social businesses by awarding successful business models that implement both social mission and sustainable management. A lot of social entrepreneurs, particularly in early stage and middle stage, are to be greatly motivated. Most of social businesses in Japan are facing financial difficulties in achieving economic self-reliance. Those awarded successful business models provide social entrepreneurs with information and hints for their own businesses.
