ABOUT SIJ -Organizational Summary- Social Innovation Japan (SIJ) is a non-profit organization founded in August, 2005 to promote “Social Innovation” (solving social problems by developing innovative socially aware products & services and business processes to generate them) and cultivate “Social Entrepreneurs” while providing them with the open platform to expand their network. Headed by a prominent social business and CSR research leader, Professor Kanji Tanimoto as the chairperson, SIJ’s board of directors is comprised of Japan’s leading social entrepreneurs.
