The Social Entrepreneur Gathering is an annual event that assists social entrepreneurs in expanding their network. The event consists of various programs such as lectures, schools, and workshops. More than 200 social entrepreneurs and those who support them gather from all over Japan to attend this event.
We encounter a lot of social entrepreneurs in civil society, business sector and government sector; however, they don't recognise themselves as 'social entrepreneur' in many cases. Some of them are even seeking new jobs that they can engage in social businesss. Some of them are intersted in social business and need skills and information to make it successful. The objective of the Gathering is to provide opportunities for those people to exchange information and expand their networks.
The 3rd Social Entrepreneur Gathering, Social Entreprenuer Gathering 2007, was held on September 8th and 9th 2007 at Roppongi Hills. This year's theme was "change society with entrepreneurship".
